contemporary polished calf, leather labels, some minor rubbing and scuffing
to bindings, else a very good clean set. Ulloa, a Spanish admiral, was sent
by the King of Spain with Juan to accompany La Condamine’s expedition, sent
to undertake measurements in Peru. Ulloa’s account contains excellent
descriptions of the natural history, natives, and the gold and silver mines
