This is the same as his Essay on the Constitutional Power of Great Britain, first printed in Philadelphia the same year. As chairman of the Philadelphia Committee of Correspondence, Dickinson drew up a series of resolutions stating the principles on which the Colonies stood, wrote the instructions for the Pennsylvania delegates, and a treatise on England's power to tax.
